Fingerprint Affinity and Easy-to-Clean

In our daily life, all kinds of particles, natural and artificial fat as well as sweat and other contaminants could easily transferred from the human finger to the product surface, and the fingerprint/imprint will become visible. You may discover those contaminant imprints on the piano paint of the car interior, or on the touchscreen and display products. This will not only bring a negative impression on the appearance of the product, but also creates further damage due to its chemical stresses.

Human beings tend to clean and remove those disturbing contamination imprints, and this cleaning procedure is named as “easy-to-clean” or “cleanability” property of the surface.

Therefore, it is of great important to evaluate with both optical and quantitive tools for the affinity property to determine whether your product surface is prone to the contaminants or not, and additionally, whether the imprints can be easily cleaned/removed.

ISPA offers a full scope of test methods for the following two tests:

· “Fingerprint & Soiling Affinity test“

·  “easy-to-clean” or “cleanability test”
